I am trying as well as I possibly can to educate myself more on Indigenous issues-both past and present. I myself live in Toronto but am originally from Ukraine. I can’t begin to compare my country’s struggles to those of Indigenous peoples, but I would like to say I try to empathize. Ukraine was the victim of mass genocide at several points in history, and it really leaves its mark on a culture. If there is any specific ways that I can better my education and understanding, I would love to listen and learn. Let me know what you think!
