Hey Darren... I was wondering if you have read Grave Error? It's a mixed bag - some of it is good, a few chapters are super racist, and the overall effect is to minimize Canada's crimes against indigenous people... but after the unhinged exaggeration of the woke era it's a needed corrective... I want to comment on it but I don't have the historical knowledge you do... also.. do you know who Stacy Amikwa is? I'd like to put you two in touch!

Now my question is, how do you see shifting your own and those around you position?

Once this Restoule v. ON case has been processed - you will soon see how the distribution of funding is applied. My concern is that Band Council's are pretty much given reign over their 'reservation lands aka 15 min cities as per their definitions' and in the rightful claims to this situation goes to the sovereign original peoples - aka Hereditary... once this all comes to some kind of comprehension and if there can be a healthy unfolding of the common good, then the result of reconciliation within the clans can begin and the betterment for the whole society will begin.

Last week, the Supreme Court of Canada issued a landmark decision in the Restoule treaty annuities case. In a unanimous decision, the Court held that the Crown must compensate the Anishinaabe beneficiaries to the Robinson Treaties for the Crown’s longstanding failure to uphold its sacred promise to share the wealth derived from lands within the treaty territories.

Hi Darren, I'm feeling your pain and situational frustrations here...

Have you seen the recent accountability being held with the Robinson Huron Treaty?
